About Us

Lisk Associates was founded in 1991 by Randy Lisk. Today, there are two partners and a number of associates. All share a common coaching background and extensive training. In addition, each has their own areas of expertise. We would like to introduce you to the partners and two key associates.

Randy Lisk - Randy is the founder of the firm and has worn many hats including group facilitator, trusted advisor, coach, and consultant. During a workshop in Europe an Italian manager called Randy, "A positive virus which should be spread." Randy can now add the title of "author" to his business card as his book was published in early 2008.

Today his focus is on organizational problem-solving, process improvement, and executive coaching.

Randy enjoyed a twenty-year career with IBM where he held numerous senior management and leadership roles in engineering and planning before founding Lisk Associates.

Randy has designed and presented supervisor and leadership education, taught coaching, communications and leadership skills to managers, helped teams reach their goals, and positively impacted the lives of thousands of people.

Randy holds a BSEE (electrical engineering) degree from the University of Cincinnati and an MSEE degree from the University of Kentucky along with numerous certifications in the field of leadership and management training. He is married and lives in Lexington, Kentucky.

Ryan Lisk - Ryan is the Business Manager for the firm. He is also the Sales Coach, Selectionist, and Chief Go-Getter. Ryan started with Lisk Associates in January 2007. His focus is on bringing value to clients primarily in the areas of Selection, On-Boarding, and Retention.

Ryan was a National Account Manager for Lexmark International for 7 years before joining Lisk Associates. Ryan won numerous sales achiever awards including National Sales Achiever. In 2003, he won one of only twelve Vision Excellence Awards given at Lexmark, the second highest award in the company. He also earned the title of "Role Model Leader" while at Lexmark.

Ryan is certified by Target Training International, Inc. as a professional behavioral, values, and TriMetrix analyst.

Ryan graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Ryan is a native of Lexington. He is married with one daughter. You can join Ryan's Linked In network at  http://www.linkedin.com/pub/6/55/213.

Bob Smith - Bob is the senior partner at Smith Market Research and a key associate for Lisk Associates. Smith Market Research conducts a variety of research for clients, including image / awareness studies, focus groups, service shops, and employee surveys. He is a certified instructor in a number of professional development classes, including "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People", "Real-Time Coaching", and "Dialogic"

Bob is a banking industry expert. He began his banking career with SouthTrust Corporation in Birmingham, Alabama in 1979. He was Market Research and Service Quality Manager for that organization until he was recruited as Market Research Manager for First Security Bank in Lexington, Kentucky in 1990. When that bank was purchased by Bank One, he became Marketing Director for Bank One, Lexington.

Bob is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham and has been an instructor in marketing at the Kentucky Schools of Banking in Louisville. Bob has twenty plus years in all areas of market research. Bob has been actively involved in the Kentucky Bank Marketing Association and was past president of that organization.

Laurie Wilson - Laurie is the founder of the L.Wilson Group, LLC (est. 1998) in Cincinnati, Ohio and a key associate for Lisk Associates. L. Wilson Group, LLC is a coaching, consulting, training and presentation firm.

Laurie is a seasoned presenter, speaker, facilitator, and coach. Her energetic, unique, and fun approach comes from 25+ years in business, training and speaking. Laurie specializes in Career Coaching For Students, a program for college and high school students helping them remove the mystery of choosing a career and college path. It is affectionately called "The ultimate GPS for life's roadtrip." This year, Laurie will take over 1000 students through this popular program.

Laurie has had her own weekly television news segment and has served as a personal development subject matter expert on WKRC in Cincinnati. She is the RealStyle, Knoxville, consultant and travels monthly to do a regular coaching feature for the Knoxville News Sentinel and WBIR – Style. She writes articles for newspapers and magazines on business and life and speaks frequently on the unity of those topics. As an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati, a featured lecturer at Miami University and a member of the Georgetown College Board of Leadership and Ethics, Laurie demonstrates the utmost integrity for the education and emotional well-being of her students, her clients and her audiences.

She is the recipient of numerous awards during her career…but she counts her role as "MOM" to her teenage son and daughter her most rewarding honor and blessing! Laurie came out of the corporate arena to bring flexibility to her own life so she can spend more time with her family. Her husband and best friend, Michael, is a middle school principal in Cincinnati.
